Leah began oil painting in an art store in Lakefield, Ontario at 9 years old. It was clear from a young age that creating art would be an important part of her life. Leah graduated York University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Education. She took a trip to Victoria, B.C. after completing University it was then she knew she wanted to live by the ocean. She moved to Victoria, B.C. in 2014 and is constantly inspired by the beauty in the landscape around her.
Long walks on the beach, hikes in the forest and beautiful views inspire Leah’s paintings. Leah takes photos while exploring the great outdoors and recreates those moments in her paintings.
